Ring of Elden can be quite an isolating experience, so why not call on a Tarnished Fellow to help you out in co-op? You’ll also need voice chat to yell at you in panic, of course.
To enable voice chat in Elden Ring, go to System > Network then toggle voice chat to permit. When other players have been summoned into your game or you join theirs, you should now be able to hear yourself crying about the wickedness of Tree Sentinel.
If voice chat is not working in Elden Ring, be sure to check the most common issues.
On PC, you may have the wrong input, which can often be caused by a conflict between your headset mic and USB mic, if you’re using them. Search for “manage input devices” in your start menu.
On PS5, remember that the DualSense has a dedicated button to turn your mic on and off. If the light is on, you are in silent mode.
On Xbox, some settings in your privacy settings may not allow you to talk with other people. Be sure to check if you are having any issues with voice chat on Xbox.
And finally, if you can’t do anything online on PlayStation or Xbox, keep in mind that you’ll need a PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live/Game Pass Ultimate membership to play and communicate online.
Elden Ring is available on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X & S and Xbox One.
