Line Of Duty Star Adrian Dunbar As Character In ANOTHER Ridley Crime Drama


Adrain Dunbar was spotted filming his new crime drama Ridley in Manchester on Monday.

The Line Of Duty star, best known for her role as Chief Superintendent Ted Hastings, was spotted filming scenes as she mingled with extras next to a hamburger van in Lancashire town .

The series will feature retired Detective Detective Alex Ridley, played by Adrian, who has been kicked out of the job he loves.

Adrian appeared to be dressed as the character as he shot scenes with a distressed brown leather jacket and black jeans.

The Irish star has played Superintendent Ted Hastings in Line Of Duty on BBC One for the past six years and has become a TV fan favorite over the past decade.

Of the new show, he said, “I don’t think I’ve ever embarked on a production with more excitement and enthusiasm.

The plot sees Ridley replaced by his former protégé, Acting DI Carol Farman, who later enlists him as a police consultant in a complex murder case.

It then takes an unexpected dark turn, and he is lured out of retirement into his old role and reconnects with his partnership with Carol.

Paul Matthew Thompson – one of the lead writers of ITV crime drama Vera – wrote and co-created the show, alongside Jonathan, and both will act as executive producers.

Jonathan said: “I couldn’t be happier to start Ridley, as we continue to build the West Road production roster with our second commission for ITV.
