Navitas to Showcase Next-Generation Semiconductors in Fireside Chat with Taiwanese Investors | New

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Aug. 15, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Navitas Semiconductor (Nasdaq: NVTS), the industry leader in gallium nitride (GaN) power integrated circuits, announced its participation in the Taiwan Investor Fireside Chat organized by Mesh Enterprises. The virtual meeting is scheduled for Thursday, August 18 at 9:30 p.m. US EDT / Friday, August 19 at 9:30 a.m. in Taiwan.

GaN is a next-generation semiconductor technology that operates up to 20 times faster than traditional silicon and enables up to 3 times more power and 3 times faster charging, with up to 40% energy savings, in half the size and weight. Navitas’ GaNFast™ power ICs with GaNSense™ technology integrate GaN power and drive, along with control, sensing, and protection to deliver simple, small, fast, and efficient performance. Customers include Samsung, Dell, Lenovo, Xiaomi, OPPO, Anker, Amazon and LG. With over 165 issued or pending patents and significant trade secrets, including a proprietary Process Design Kit (PDK), Navitas believes it has a years’ lead in next-generation GaN power ICs.

Navitas Co-Founder and CEO Gene SHERIDAN and Chief Financial Officer Ron SHELTON will review recent product, application and market developments with a short presentation and live Q&A discussion. To participate, investors must register online through the Mesh Ventures website.

“This fireside chat is a great opportunity for Taiwanese investors to access this next-generation GaN technology and interact with Navitas management in real time,” said Edward CHYAU, Managing Partner at Mesh Ventures. “As an existing investor, we can speak from experience of how the Navitas team is dedicated to both growing the company’s revenue and ensuring customers benefit from this cutting-edge technology. and respectful of the environment.”

GaN power ICs have a CO2 footprint up to 10 times lower than traditional silicon chips. The higher efficiency and smaller end equipment size means customers can accelerate progress on their own net zero carbon plans. As Navitas helps “Electrify Our World™”, GaN is expected to process more than 2.6 Gtonnes of CO2 per year by 2050.

“Taiwan is an important priority for Navitas, with a strong manufacturing base for our GaN power IC, as well as an established customer base,” said Gene Sheridan, co-founder and CEO of Navitas. “This VIP meeting is a great opportunity to chat with members of the Taiwanese investment community to highlight our growth plans and our expansion into new markets, such as consumer electronics and data centers. Overall, we estimate a GaN electrification opportunity of $13 billion per year by 2026, and we are grateful to Mesh for this platform to meet forward-looking investors.
