Texas meets Hollywood with 3 new animated movies starring Lone Star Ties

Recently, several up-and-coming Texas-born actors have starred in some of Hollywood’s biggest movies. Filming in Texas has also resumed, as a new independent film (see below) was filmed in Texas City and the previous television series in Yellowstone, 1883, filmed in Fort Worth.

In Austin, Robert Rodriguez (city ​​of sin) just started shooting a new sci-fi action thriller called Hypnotic with Ben Affleck and Alice Braga. The story is about a detective who investigates a missing girl and her father, as well as a secret government program – intriguing. Affleck plays J.R.’s Uncle Charlie, who acts as a father figure after the boy’s real father abandons him. Elkhart-born Sheridan starred in Loan player one and X-Men: Apocalypse.

This next Hulu Original Movie also features a Texan actor: Plano native Mika Abdalla. She plays Avery, a perfectionist high school girl who asks for her friend’s help in preparing for her first time with her long distance boyfriend. Also starring Paris Jackson and comedian Fortune Feimster, the comedy-drama begins streaming on Hulu on January 14.
