WhatsApp adds ability to show status updates in chat list for some Android beta testers: report

According to a report by WhatsApp options tracker WABetainfo, the instant messaging platform has released the beta version of WhatsApp for Android model to some beta testers. In the new beta model, WhatsApp would have added the ability for customers to see ongoing updates from their contacts throughout the chat record.

The report also mentions that this feature can be disabled by disabling all permanent updates in the WhatsApp app for Android. According to the report, the feature may be rolling out to additional beta testers in the coming weeks. The beta model mentioned above can be expected to launch for iOS sooner or later, the report added. WhatsApp is only officially announcing the release schedule for this feature.
