WhatsApp adds ability to show status updates in chat list for some Android beta testers: report

WhatsApp would have given the power to show permanent updates in the chat record to some beta testers. According to the report, the new feature was rolled out with WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.22.18.17. The feature would have been under the earlier growth. The new feature is supposed to allow users to click on a contact’s display image in the chat record to view the permanent update. The report also pointed out that the new feature could be disabled by disabling all permanent updates.

According to a report by WhatsApp options tracker WABetainfo, the instant messaging platform has released the beta version of WhatsApp for Android model 2.22.18.17 to some beta testers. In the new beta model, WhatsApp would have added the ability for customers to see ongoing updates from their contacts throughout the chat record.

Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp would allow customers to click on a contact’s display image to instantly view their ongoing updates to their chat record. The report also mentions that this feature can be disabled by disabling all permanent updates in the WhatsApp app for Android. According to the report, the feature may be rolling out to additional beta testers in the coming weeks. The beta model mentioned above can be expected to launch for iOS sooner or later, the report added. WhatsApp is only officially announcing the release schedule for this feature.

Lately, the instant messaging platform launched the native WhatsApp Home Windows app. The company had also launched the beta version of the native app for Mac users. The company says the native app for Windows Home will increase reliability and pace. It is stated that it has been designed and optimized for office work programs, as per WhatsApp.

According to a previous report, WhatsApp has started rolling out a beta version of the app for Android with the undo delete message feature. Customers can apparently recover messages that were accidentally deleted.
